Do you know how hard it is to find a DJ? I guess I should be a little more clear…do you know how hard it is to find a good DJ? Let’s just say there’s a lot of cheesy dudes out there. If I wanted someone to get on the mic and tell the reception hall to stay classy I’d set up an iPod and mix in some Ron Burgundy quotes. Anyone out there have good Seattle DJ recommendations? If you’ve had a good experience with a DJ (or maybe even a band for that matter), please leave a comment to this posting. Or, have you had a bad experience with a DJ? Maybe you can help us out by pointing us away from the wrong people. Any DJ reviews would be helpful. Thanks!

    Hello Trevor & Mary,

    Check with Mitch and Laurie…they may have connections and advice.

    Peace and love,
    Mary

  2. Congratulations Trevor & Mary! You may or may not have a DJ hired for your special day by now, but we personally know of a few elite DJs in the Seattle area. We have met a lot of wedding DJs from Seattle and the Kitsap Peninsula and let me tell you, 90% embarrass our profession. A lot of these so called DJs are bar DJs (love their own music and love attention) and hobby DJs (own a disco ball and cheap equipment). Just ask about their past experience and if they are part or full time.

    The few DJs that I would hire for my own wedding ( I personally know them and their work) are;
    Emerald City Productions (Dan (206) 914-6618) http://emeraldcityproductions.net/
    Lue Jam Entertainment (David Lue) http://www.leujam.com/
    Seattle Weddings (Dan Mckay) http://SeattleWeddings.us/

    The guys are very committed to their work and they are the best around. Also a great place to look for better than average DJs is http://www.adja.org/ . I hope this helps you or anybody you know. Feel free to write me if you have any questions and I wish you many happy years together. Cheers, Jered DelPalacio

    Hi.
    I am a good DJ. In the 300+ weddings I’ve performed at, I’ve never once told a crowd to “stay classy”.

    If you’re still looking, please visit my website at http://www.discotogo.com.

    Cheers.

    Kevin
