Most of the time people complain about companies. Crappy customer service, lines are too long, blah, blah blah. Hey, I do it myself.
I thought I would change things up a little bit and mention two companies that are awesome.
First up: Band of Outsiders. This company makes great clothes, but that isn’t why they are awesome. I lost a button on one of my shirts and a replacement button was impossible come to by. I emailed the company and got a reply back in minutes asking for my address. Once I sent them back my address they said they would be mailing me out replacement buttons that day. Expecting an envelope with a few buttons, I was pleasantly surprised to get a full pouch of buttons.
Onto Netflix. A company who provides a service I never felt I needed…until I bought a Blu-ray player that was Netflix enabled. Free trail? Sure, why not?
It didn’t take Mary and I long to get hooked. It also didn’t take Netflix long to gain long-time customers. I had rented the awesomely bad movie Crank 2 and noticed it skipped once during the movie. No biggie – happens with Blu-ray players sometimes (that what firmware updates are for, right?). About a day later I get an email from Netflix saying they know Crank 2 doesn’t work with some Blu-ray players, so they are giving me a bonus rental.
The story doesn’t end there. A movie we had up next in our queue wasn’t available from the Tacoma shipping facility. So while the movie came from another facility, they sent out our next movie so we had something to watch while we waited.
So that’s it – just wanted to break the normal “Company X SUCKS!!!” talk with two companies that are awesome.
