There are some questions you just have to answer “yes” when asked:
- Do you want to go to Vegas?
- Does this make me look pretty?
- Do you want to meet Hulk Hogan?
Yeah, you read that right – Hulk Hogan. I don’t know about you, but I grew up a Hulkamaniac. I remember my parent’s moving a tv into a bedroom Todd and I shared so we could watch Saturday Night’s Main Event. Or what about when the Earthquake smashed Hulk Hogan’s ribs on the Brother Love Show? I’m pretty sure I wrote Hulk a get-well card.
So when Mary asked if I wanted to go to a Hulk Hogan book signing at Third Place Books, I had to say yes.
A crowd of a few hundred people lined up throughout the aisles (much to the dismay of everyday book shoppers). We probably waited about an hour and a half for our two minutes with Hulk, but it was totally worth it. Introduced myself while Mary congratulated him on his new book (My Life Outside the Ring
) and a Third Place Book employee snapped some pictures.
Jimmy Hart was there as well (though no pictures of him).
Got to say, Hulk looks pretty good for 56. Then again, I heard he is going back into the ring with TNA Wrestling, so I’m sure he needs to be in good shape.
