Trevor and I met at a party at Washington State University back in January 2003. With the help of Trevor’s brother Todd we were introduced, hit it off and spent the evening talking about music and fun. Throughout the semester we got closer as we realized that we had a class together and many other common interests. As the semester came to a close I graduated while Trevor stayed behind to finish his last semester at WSU. After many visits and the start of a long distance relationship we made it through the end of the year and we prepared for the unknown.
Both of us returned to our hometowns after college. I went back to Shoreline and my old job while Trevor went back to Washougal to start his career. With some coaxing (and help from his friends), Trevor finally moved up to the Seattle area the summer of 2005. Living together for the first time we had a blast in our funky little apartment on Queen Anne. Falling more and more in love every day we decided that we were both in it for the long haul. In the summer of 2006 we stepped it up and bought a condo in Edmonds together.
The engagement happened in April of 2007 on a trip to Oahu. Although we’d been looking at rings and I had an inclination that Trevor had asked my dad. I didn’t think it was going to happen because he seemed too cool and collected. It was the first full day at the beach and while digging though the backpack to get my swimsuit the ring fell out and without even saying a word the water works started. I’m still not even sure if Trevor even had to ask me or anything but all the tears and happiness a “Yes!” came out and the rest of the trip was amazing as an engaged woman.
It’s taken us some time to set a date and get the ball rolling but after watching other wedding madness we’re doing things at our leisure. At this point we are thrilled to finally setting a date and getting married. Looking forward to a very big 2008 and actually becoming a Jezierski!
