Going back all the way to 1984, yeah, that’s how long I’ve known Nikki. Longer than I’ve known most people I grew up, played sports and enjoyed the friendship of Nicole Falkin. This picture is too funny- it’s from our preschool class picture and who knows if we chose to stand by each other or her mom made us stand in height order. I didn’t think it would be possible to get married without having her at my side, she is afterall my oldest friend. Growing up we swam, played soccer and probably caused a little bit of trouble. Although we attended different elementary schools we remained close and joined up again in middle and high school. Nikki then went off to the University of Washington while I headed east to Washington State University. It was with her patience and generous time that I finally got my driver’s license at age 23. A little late but with a great teacher I finally passed the test. She is currently enrolled in nursing school at Seattle University and pursuing a nursing career at Swedish Hospital here in Seattle.
